It is the longest standing organization working for a national popular vote. Since then, 15 states have approved legislation for a national popular vote. And as few as four states are required to make it law.
The People
must speak.

The People's Choice For President Insitutue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit registered with the Internal Revenue Service.
Americans do not have the right to vote for President. The states and the Electoral College elect the president. And the states are not required to hold elections to allocate its Electors.
Our mission is to educate people about the Electoral College and proposals to make it more representiative. Half of Americans have not heard of the Electoral College or don't know its function. Few have heard of reforms such as the National Popular Vote Compact.
The People's Choice for President means just that -- the voters directy elect the president.
